Until recently, colored contact lenses have been fitted primarily for cosmetic purposes. But relatively new technology developed by Stan Harper, optician and CEO of Adventures in Color Technology, Ltd., is now being used in almost every hospital and teaching university in the United States, and some internationally, to treat and eliminate a wide range of vision problems."More than 20 million people suffer from serious untreated vision problems, and most of those people don't realize a solution like ours is available," Harper, former president of the Contact Lens Society of America, says.Roughly two percent of the population has suffered a serious eye injury as a result of an accident, and others have vision problems as a result of unsuccessful eye surgeries or birth defects. These people can be helped as well. The company uses various Federal Food and Drug Administration approved colors and designs specifically applied to soft contact lenses.A 17-year-old Loveland, Colo., resident and...

PixiPort.com Poverty and Pollution, Palm Beach County Florida Welcome to Belle Glade (Pop. 14,000) The Voice Behind the Lens-Michael Dubiner

(ContentDesk) March 4, 2004 -- As a lawyer, I spent about 20 years traveling to Palm Beach County's western most reaches to the courthouse in Belle Glade once or twice a month. The town is located about 45 miles or so west of Palm Beach and is a very short distance from the southern rim of Lake Okeechobee. It is an old farming community struggling with modern times. It has many problems but also engenders a fair amount of civic pride. Recently, my daughter drove me out to the Glades to do some photography.

The Fastest and Most Powerful Affirmation

Copyright 2006 Rebbie Straubing

"There is nothing that you cannot be or do or have."

-- from the teachings of Abraham-Hicks*

This fully empowering declaration can manifest through you in infinite ways.
It can put food on your table, love in your home, wisdom in your words, a car in your garage, and can bring you anything else your heart desires.
It all comes down to a matter of alignment.
Your desires and your beliefs must match up.
Once they do, you become virtually unstoppable.

One powerful tool for manifestation is the use of affirmation.

Since we understand this manifestation process as a product of our alignment, it's valuable to look at the practice of repeating affirmations through the lens of alignment.
Then we can see clearly why affirmations work sometimes and not others.

If your affirmations are not working, consider this:
